Sonae Sierra achieved a solid performance at the operating level, in 2018, with a net profit of 110 million Euro. Last year the company sold shopping centre assets with a gross value of nearly 600 million Euro, generating significant earnings, increased the inter-annual EBIT for services by 11 percent.

In 2018, Sonae Sierra improved the eco-efficiency of its shopping centres in most key indicators, achieving 86 percent of its sustainability targets and actions in the course of the year.

Compared to other financial years, Sonae Sierra has improved water use efficiency of its portfolio by 21 percent since 2003, and electricity efficiency by 49 percent since 2002.

Sonae Sierra operates from corporate offices in 11 countries providing services to clients in Portugal, Algeria, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and Tunisia.

Sonae Sierra owns 42 shopping centres with a market value of more than seven billion Euro. At present, Sonae Sierra has 14 projects under development, including nine for third parties.
