The german retailer KiK Textilien, one of the most important name in retail industry in Germany, will open a store in Liberty Center at the end of the first quarter of the year. The retailer’s store will be the second one in Bucharest, according to JLL, the real estate consultancy agency and the asset and property manager of Liberty Center.

The store is already under construction and it will be positioned at the ground floor of the shopping center, on an area of 600 sqm, near the InExtenso by Auchan brand.

’’The development strategy of Liberty Center for 2018 was that of reorganizing the shopping gallery and bringing on board new partners. Liberty Center is the only shopping center in District 5, therefore we aim to maximize covering our clients’ needs and to offer them a relevant tenant mix. With the help of KiK, we consider that we will begin to diversify the shopping experience of our visitors, especially through the new elements which the retailer brings on the Bucharest market”, said Corina Stamate, center manager, JLL Romania.

The footfall of the shopping center increased with 11% in 2018 vs 2017 and the retail sales had also significant increases, the most important ones being on the food court area, of approximately 20%.

The occupancy rate of the shopping center, based on the already signed lease agreements is 88%, having at this moment more than 5.000 sqm under fit-out. The stores will be opened until the end of the year.
