CEZ Group donated 13,800 warm meals to vulnerable people with the support of the Romanian Red Cross

For 17 days, between December 15 and 31, the CEZ Group together with the Romanian Red Cross branches in its operational area and with local suppliers in the HoReCa sector, brought 13,800 warm meals to vulnerable people in nine counties through the #ungestdebinenuepreascump campaign.

During the winter holidays, through this campaign, the CEZ Group in Romania launched a different invitation to action to its traditional collaborators. Thus, the challenge was to donate the symbolic Christmas gift in exchange for a good deed and to support both vulnerable groups and local businesses to get through the end of the year.

“We ended the year at a defining pace, one in which people are unstoppable, and we brought a different kind of energy to the communities in which we operate. I would like to thank the partners who donated, the representatives and volunteers of the Romanian Red Cross who mobilized and our local suppliers, who prepared and delivered hot food every day. Thanks to them, 270 people enjoyed a safe meal,” said Ondrej Safar, CEO of CEZ Romania.
