Uber expands its Romanian network with new city

    Published on

Uber, the application which connects riders with drivers, is now available in Iasi, the heart of Moldova. Iasi becomes the 5th Uber city in Romania.

The first rider who tried the application in Iasi was Marius Manole – acclaimed actor of the National Theatre in Bucharest, born in Iasi.

“We are happy to launch our service Iasi, the 5th Romanian Uber city. Iasi has chosen Uber as much as Uber has chosen Iasi – thousands of people have opened the Uber app in Iasi in the last six months. Iasi launches tens of other European cities that have Uber – Paris, London, Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, Warsaw and many more.  We want to partner with authorities here to make the city less congested, reduce pollution as well as make it more tourist – friendly” said Nicoleta Schroeder, head of Uber Romania.
