OTP Bank Romania opens new branch concept in Bucharest

    Published on

OTP Bank announces the opening of a new branch concept in Bucharest, which follows the bank goal of accelerated growth.

“Although, in recent years, a significant percentage of branches in Europe have closed and continue to close, we believe that the online mix, digital with physical presence, reflected in the direct interaction between our employees and customers, is still very important. The expansion of the branch network is part of the strategy we have for the near future. This year, the opening of new branches will not stop here “, said Gyula Fater, CEO of OTP Bank Romania.

The new branch in Pipera is equipped with two multifunctional ATMs, one of which is available non-stop. These ATMs replace the classic cashiers and provide customers with the possibility to perform multiple operations in safe conditions, such as: cash deposits and withdrawals, querying the balance, obtaining a mini account statement or changing the PIN code. Customers receive advice on instant access to the services and products offered by OTP Bank’s mobile devices and digital platforms. In addition, they have access to a space for business meetings, as the branch will support them with  advice and solutions.

“For OTP Bank, this project is a pilot through which we test two main concepts. The first refers to the cashless branch, ie without cashiers, an exclusively electronic concept, and the second considers the role of the advisor whose mission is to provide customers with assistance and trust in the digital environment. Depending on the results of this pilot, we will adapt our branches as efficiently as possible to the needs of our customers”, added Gyula Fater.
