    Published on

E.ON and the Romanian company Don Pedro, one of the largest players on the tissue paper market in the country, decided to develop the partnership signed last year for the realization of a system for generating electricity through photovoltaic process, reaching a value of over 630,000 Euro. Within the partnership between the two companies, E.ON is building a photovoltaic power plant for Don Pedro.

“The partnership between E.ON and Don Pedro shows first and foremost the commitment of both companies to a cleaner environment. By choosing our solution, E.ON Photovoltaic, Don Pedro will reduce CO2 emissions by over 240 tons per year and will also benefit from an independent and more economical energy supply,” said Cătălin Iordache, General Manager E. ON Energy Romania.

The Photovoltaic Power Plant includes solar energy systems that will be installed on the roofs of the 10 buildings that make up the Don Pedro production unit, located in Vâlcea County, and will produce a total of 767 MWh per year, representing 25-30 percent of the company’s total energy needs.
