BMF GRUP, an entrepreneurial group founded in Romania in 2011, has acquired ENGIE Building Solutions S.R.L. from ENGIE Servicii, a company owned by ENGIE Romania. ENGIE Building Solutions specializes in energy services for buildings, integrated technical management, and energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions for industrial and commercial clients, as well as office buildings.
Following approval by the Romanian Competition Council, the transaction undertaken as part of ENGIE’s strategic portfolio refocusing was completed on 15 October 2026. ENGIE continues to expand its activities in Romania, while BMF GRUP has become the new owner of the company.
Through this acquisition, BMF GRUP is expanding its ability to manage both day-to-day building operations and investments in modernization and energy efficiency. The transaction supports the group’s ambition to become a regional player in integrated facility management and energy services, and continues the growth strategy developed alongside SARMIS Capital since 2023.
Before this acquisition, BMF GRUP already had more than 5,000 specialists and a portfolio of over 15 million square meters of properties under management. The acquired company’s team and portfolio add to this operational base, expanding the group’s expertise and service delivery capacity.
For 2026, BMF GRUP expects turnover of more than EUR 120 million. Over 93% of the group’s turnover is generated by contracts with private-sector clients, reflecting its growth in a competitive market and long-term commercial relationships.
With nationwide coverage, the group serves clients in retail, offices, logistics, oil and gas, energy, telecommunications, data centers, banking and financial services, FMCG, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and industrial manufacturing.
The integration of ENGIE Building Solutions brings BMF GRUP additional capabilities in EPC projects — Engineering, Procurement and Construction — dedicated to the energy efficiency and decarbonization of buildings.
BMF GRUP is developing a model that allows clients to work with a single partner for property management, technical maintenance, cleaning and security, as well as design, construction and the management of modernization projects. The aim is to align building operations with investments that reduce energy consumption and operating costs.
Areas of development include photovoltaic systems, the installation of energy generation equipment, energy storage solutions and turnkey projects for critical infrastructure, including cogeneration systems and data centers.
By integrating the expertise of ENGIE Building Solutions, BMF aims to move faster in this direction and offer clients a complete model: a single partner for the operation, modernization and energy optimization of buildings.
