EduPro Summit #2: Education that works. We are opening the conversation about education, skills, and a sustainable talent ecosystem for Romania.

    Published on

AHK Romania (the German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), through its Center for Professional Training, EduPro, is organizing the second edition of the EduPro Summit on 15 October 2026, in Bucharest (JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel) — an event that brings education, business, and institutions together in the same space to open the conversation about one of the key challenges for Romania’s future: how do we develop the people and skills the economy needs, today and in the future?

In a labour market undergoing rapid transformation driven by technology, artificial intelligence, and changing work models, talent development must be seen as a process that begins in education and continues throughout professional life.

On the one hand, EduPro Summit #2 highlights education and dual vocational training inspired by the German model, based on a close connection between schools and companies, with the aim of aligning vocational training with the real needs of the labour market. An education system that is relevant to the economy requires strong partnerships between educational institutions and companies, so that young people gain not only knowledge, but also applied skills and practical experience.

On the other hand, the Summit opens the discussion on continuous training and professional development for employees. In a fast-paced economy, learning does not end with graduation. Companies play an important role in developing people through upskilling and reskilling programmes, career development opportunities, and investments that help employees adapt to the new realities of work.

A sustainable talent ecosystem, however, means more than skills. It also means people’s ability to remain healthy, motivated, and high performing in the long term. That is why companies’ investments in people, including employee wellbeing, are becoming an integral part of the conversation about the future of work.

Through EduPro Summit #2, AHK Romania is creating a platform for dialogue and collaboration for those who can contribute to the development of this ecosystem — from representatives of education and vocational training to the business community and institutional stakeholders.

Because a sustainable talent ecosystem is built from school to the first job and throughout an entire career. And investment in people is ultimately an investment in Romania’s competitiveness and economic future.
