Airbus has appointed Alexandre Ceccacci as Head of Airbus in Romania and Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters Romania, effective October 1, 2026. He succeeds Georges Durdilly, who concludes his tenure leading Airbus’ operations in the country.
An aerospace engineer and graduate of the Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Appliquées (IPSA) in Paris, Alexandre Ceccacci brings nearly three decades of international leadership experience to his new role in Romania. During his 29-year career at Airbus Helicopters, he has developed extensive expertise in customer center management, aerospace operations, cross-cultural leadership and complex commercial campaigns.
“Taking on this role is both an honor and a great responsibility,” said Alexandre Ceccacci. “Airbus has been a committed partner to Romania for more than half a century. My main priorities are flawless execution, delivering on every commitment we make, ensuring operational excellence for our local partners, and leveraging the exceptional teams and talent we have here. I am delighted to call Romania my new home and look forward to shaping the future of the Romanian aerospace industry together.”
Before his assignment in Italy, Ceccacci served as Support and Services Director for Latin America from 2017 to 2019 and as Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters in Chile and the Southern Cone from 2010 to 2016.
Earlier in his career, he held sales leadership positions in Mexico, as well as strategic roles at the Airbus Helicopters headquarters in Marignane, where he served as Commercial Director for the European Network and Oil & Gas sector.
Prior to his appointment in Romania, Ceccacci held a strategic role within Airbus Helicopters’ Europe organization.
