PEFA: Business Outlook arrives in Brasov: leaders of the business environment and public institutions, gathered for competitiveness, investments and regional development (P)

    Published on

The European Business Women’s Employers’ Association PEFA and SME Brașov organize, with the support of the Brașov City Hall, a new edition of the national project Business Outlook – Together for the future, dedicated to the dialogue between the business environment, authorities and economic leaders.

The event will take place on October 5, 2026, starting at 10:00, at Cinema Modern Brașov, and will bring to the fore three essential themes for the regional and national economy: competitiveness, investments and regional development.

Andreea Negru, president of the European Business Women’s Employers’ Association – PEFA, emphasizes the role of cooperation between the private sector and public institutions: “The competitiveness of an economy is not built individually, but through trust, investments and the ability to bring the business environment, the administration and local communities to the same table. Through the national Business Outlook 2026 project, we want to build exactly this space for dialogue. Brasov is one of Romania’s important economic poles, with strong industry, entrepreneurship, human capital and real investment potential. I believe in an economic leadership that not only identifies problems, but brings people together to build solutions.”

In her turn, Lorena Stoian, First Vice-President of PEFA, highlights the need for a predictable economic environment that supports the development of companies: “Entrepreneurs need predictability, access to finance, infrastructure and public policies connected to the economic reality. Regional development means capitalizing on the advantages of each community and creating the conditions for local investments and companies to generate long-term value. Business Outlook is about connecting ideas, resources and people who can transform economic potential into concrete development.”

Business Outlook Brașov brings together representatives of the central and local public administration, leaders of employers’ organizations, companies, the financial-banking sector and professionals from strategic fields, in an applied dialogue about the current economic challenges and about the solutions needed to accelerate development.

For Alina Paul, president of SME Brașov, regional development must be built starting from the real needs of entrepreneurs and from the competitive advantages of Brasov: “Brasov has all the premises to strengthen its position as a regional economic pole. In order for this potential to turn into sustainable economic growth, a constant collaboration between the private sector and the public administration is needed. Through Business Outlook, we bring together the relevant voices of the economy to discuss concretely what we can do better and about projects that can generate development, jobs and competitiveness.”

Business Outlook – a national platform for economic dialogue

Under the concept “Together for the future”, Business Outlook is a platform through which PEFA brings the economic debate closer to entrepreneurial communities and regional development centers. After the editions organized in Sibiu and Craiova, the project arrives in Brasov, and will continue in Iasi.
