Sphera Franchise Group, which owns the companies operating the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell brands under franchise agreements in Romania, KFC in the Republic of Moldova and certain areas of Italy, as well as the Cioccolatitaliani, Hard Rock Cafe and wagamama brands, has appointed Anca Popa as Supply Chain Director.
In her new role, Anca Popa will oversee the Supply Chain function across the Group, with responsibility for defining and implementing an integrated strategy for the companies and brands within Sphera’s portfolio in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. She will coordinate procurement, planning, distribution and inventory management processes, develop supplier relationships, and support digitalization, automation and cost optimization initiatives at Group level.
Anca Popa has over 20 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics and Operations, gained within international companies operating in industries such as FMCG, food service, telecommunications and logistics. In recent years, she served as Executive International Supply Chain Director, overseeing supply chain operations across more than 20 markets in Europe, the Middle East, CIS and Africa, where she led organizational transformation programs, logistics network optimization initiatives, S&OP/IBP process implementation and the digitalization of operations through ERP systems.
Throughout her career, she has also managed Supply Chain operations for clients in the retail, food service and oil industries, as well as regional distribution, demand planning and logistics optimization projects within FMCG companies.
She is a graduate of the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and completed an Executive MBA program (Romanian-French MBA INDE, CNAM Paris), complemented by several international leadership and supply chain management programs.
