The online forum of November 19, 2026 creates direct channels of cooperation between companies in Romania and Korea, in the field of AI and AI transformation (AX).
Consilium Policy Advisors Group (CPAG) invites companies from Romania and Korea to the first edition of the Korea–Romania AI/AX Business Forum. The event takes place online, Thursday, November 19, 2026, between 11:00 and 12:40 (Romanian time), in English. The Forum is organized by CPAG together with Korelation Co., Ltd.
The European Union and Korea already have an open framework for cooperation, and the forum aims to create direct channels of collaboration between companies from the two countries. The first edition lays the foundations for this approach: understanding the needs of companies, visibility for each participating organization in front of potential partners and the first 1:1 meetings.
Why it is an opportunity for Romanian companies
Korea has been Romania’s strategic partner since 2008, and the partnership was strengthened in 2024. It is the fourth largest market in the world for industrial robot installations (IFR, 2024). At the same time, Korean AX solution companies looking for a presence in the EU need local implementation partners, and IT companies in Romania can be those partners.
Participation is open to solution providers, integrators, investors and research organisations, as well as companies and public institutions from any sector that want to adopt AI and AX solutions for their own digitalisation or are interested in these topics.
Opportunities for participating Romanian companies:
• direct access to Korean AI/AX solution providers, technology companies and investors, online, without travel;
• visibility in the common catalog of participants, read by Korean companies before the forum;
• 1:1 meetings with partners who have expressed mutual interest, facilitated by the organizers;
• practical information about the Korean AI/AX market and how companies and regions in Korea are implementing AI transformation;
• collaborations in both directions: technological partnerships and joint projects, AI/AX solutions for their own digitalization, entry into the Korean market and contacts with Korean companies that want to invest in Romania and the EU.
Topics on the agenda include the investment environment in Romania and Central and Eastern Europe, EU and Romanian AI policies, case studies from the AI industry in Romania and the transformation of AI at regional level in Korea, followed by a joint panel.
The partners of the event are the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Korea (institutional partner), Transilvania IT Cluster and Daegu-Gyeongbuk AX Association (industry and ecosystem partners) and SYP Co., Ltd. (corporate partner).
Based on the registration form, the organizers will create a common catalog of Romanian and Korean companies, sent to the participants before the forum. After the event, 1:1 online meetings will be facilitated between companies expressing mutual interest.
Participation is free for companies in Romania, and registration is open until November 6, through the form available at forms.cloud.microsoft/e/LQcA9DmANP.
