MedLife announces its financial results for the first half of 2026. The group recorded 10% growth in pro forma consolidated revenue compared with the same period in 2025, reaching RON 1.7 billion. In terms of profitability, the pro forma EBITDA margin reached 16.4%, an improvement over the same period last year, supported by the upward trend recorded in the second quarter.
The strongest growth rates were recorded by the corporate segment (17%), clinics (15%), laboratories (13%), and hospitals (8%). The Corporate division stands out for its accelerated growth compared with the previous year, supported by the expansion of its customer portfolio and the diversification of solutions offered.
“The first six months of the year confirm the consistent growth of the MedLife Group, supported by increases across most business lines, robust patient volumes, and ongoing strategic projects with long-term impact, despite the fragile macroeconomic situation and declines in consumer markets. We continue to focus on developing our ongoing projects and are well-positioned to maintain our growth momentum in the coming period. At the same time, we remain attentive to small- and medium-sized acquisition opportunities, both domestically and abroad”, said Mihai Marcu, President and CEO of MedLife Group.
Alongside the development of its core business lines, MedLife focused in the first half of the year on accelerating strategic projects that combine innovation and cutting-edge technology, making significant progress towards personalized medicine.
“After opening a new chapter in personalized medicine last year—as the first company in the country and the region to sequence the human genome using our own resources—one of our priorities in the first half of 2026 was the development of the Longevity 100+ program. The fact that we were able to offer, for the first time in Romania, large-scale low-pass genetic testing represents an important step toward democratizing access to genetic information and bringing precision medicine closer to patients. We have also expanded the Longevity 100+ program by integrating microbiome analysis—another first at the national level. MedLife is the only company in Romania that currently has the capacity to fully sequence the human microbiome within the country. Thus, by correlating genetic information with microbiome data, we can gain a broader and more nuanced perspective on each patient’s health.
“We believe that the true value of these achievements becomes apparent when we are able to take a holistic view of genetic predisposition, the microbiome, medical data, and lifestyle, in order to identify risks earlier and to provide recommendations that are as relevant as possible for each individual patient”, added Mihail Marcu, CEO & Chairman of the Board of MedLife Group.
