AFI completes the acquisition of six retail parks, which will operate under the AFI Value Park brand

    Published on

AFI has completed the acquisition of a portfolio of six retail parks in Romania and is launching AFI Value Park, the company’s new retail park network on the local market. The transaction, valued at approximately EUR 282 million, follows the signing of the acquisition agreement at the end of May 2026 and represents the largest retail park transaction ever completed in Romania.

Effective today, the six projects will operate under the AFI Value Park identity, while retaining their local designation: AFI Value Park Baia Mare, AFI Value Park Bârlad, AFI Value Park Ploiești, AFI Value Park Roman, AFI Value Park Sfântu Gheorghe, and AFI Value Park Zalău. Together with AFI Value Park Arad, inaugurated in 2023, they form the AFI Value Park national network. The new identity reflects the official integration of the portfolio into AFI’s operational platform and the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the retail park segment.

“The completion of this transaction marks a new chapter for AFI in Romania. By integrating these projects under the AFI Value Park brand, we are developing a nationwide retail park platform that now brings together seven projects and leverages AFI’s expertise and proven operational standards in managing retail assets. We will continue to invest in strengthening the tenant mix, continuously upgrading the properties, and supporting their long-term development, ensuring that every AFI Value Park becomes the preferred shopping destination for its local community,” said Doron Klein, Group Deputy CEO & CEO AFI Romania.

Over the coming months, the company will implement the operational integration of the six retail parks into the AFI Value Park network by applying AFI’s standards for property management, leasing, asset management, tenant relations, and customer experience.

With this acquisition, AFI further strengthens its position in Romania’s modern retail sector. The AFI Value Park network currently comprises seven retail parks – AFI Value Park Arad and the six newly acquired projects – totaling more than 155,000 sqm of gross leasable area (GLA).

AFI continues to expand its portfolio in Romania, which includes shopping centers, retail parks, mixed-use developments, office buildings, and residential projects, supporting the Group’s long-term growth strategy.
