Hidroelectrica has regained first place among companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) in terms of market capitalization. During the trading session on February 5, 2026, Hidroelectrica’s share price recorded an increase of approximately 14% compared to September 2025.
This positive performance was directly reflected in the company’s market capitalization, which rose by about RON 7.7 billion, from RON 54.7 billion to RON 62.4 billion. As a result, Hidroelectrica returned to the top position in the market capitalization ranking, reinforcing its status as the largest Romanian company listed on the stock exchange.
The stock market performance was also supported by the share price reaching an all-time high on January 28, 2026, at RON 142 per share. This milestone corresponded to a market value of RON 63.8 billion, representing an increase of about 17% compared to September 2025.

Hidroelectrica is the largest producer of renewable electricity in Romania and one of the most important players in the energy sector in Southeast Europe. With a portfolio of over 6.3 GW of installed capacity in hydropower plants, combined with the Crucea wind farm, the company contributes to national energy security and to achieving the decarbonization targets set by EU policies.
