Eximprod announces the official inauguration of the Cudalbi 2 Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 38.4 MW, representing one of the most advanced renewable energy investments in southeastern Romania.
The project can produce over 106,000 MWh of green electricity annually, enough to power more than 40,000 households.
“The 38.4 MW Cudalbi 2 Wind Farm is proof of the ability of Romanian teams to deliver complex energy infrastructure at international standards. It is an investment in Romania’s energy future, built with passion, innovation, and responsibility,” said Gheorghe Manole, co-founder of Eximprod Group.
The inaugurated project represents the first phase of a broader development that will also integrate a 38 MW photovoltaic power plant and an energy storage system of 36 MW / 36 MWh.
Construction of the wind farm—from the issuance of the notice to proceed to the first megawatt-hour delivered to the grid—was completed within 12 months.
The works were carried out with the local expertise of companies within the Eximprod Group, alongside partners such as Lemacons Galați, Electromontaj Carpati Sibiu, and Prelchim Râmnicu Vâlcea.
The Cudalbi 2 project, with a total investment value of €75 million, was completed through a balanced financing mix that included bank financing provided by Banca Transilvania and equity from investors. The investment will benefit from €9.6 million in funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
