Alexandrion Group, Romania’s market leader in the production and distribution of spirits and wines, and the country’s only single malt whisky producer, part of the Nawaf Salameh Family Office, continues its large-scale process of modernization and digitalization of its production facilities by putting into operation two fully automated bottling lines. The investment amounts to 2 million euros, and the two lines are the most advanced of their kind in Romania. Moreover, the production capacity has increased by up to 40 percent.
The project was carried out in collaboration with the Italian companies Bertolaso, APE (part of Omnia Group Italia), and PE Labeller Italia, international leaders in bottling and packaging equipment for the spirits industry.
The two production lines integrate some of the most advanced technologies available in the field, from automatic depalletizing to robotic palletizing and automatic labeling of the final product. Through this automation, Alexandrion Group has transitioned from a semi-automatic process to a fully automated and electronically controlled one, in which each stage is monitored and optimized in real time.
“With this investment, we achieve greater efficiency, consistent quality, traceability, and greater environmental responsibility. Every bottle leaving our lines will tell the same story of quality and dedication, enabling us to guarantee the highest standards to consumers, regardless of volume. By investing in modernization, we are investing in the future, in people: in their time, their expertise, and their ability to focus on what truly matters – innovation and quality,” said Roberto Salameh, Chief Operating Officer of Alexandrion Group.
The implementation of these technologies was carried out in stages, following a precise schedule that allowed the gradual integration of the new production flows. Installation of Line 3 began in early August 2025, with the first production run completed at the end of the month. For Line 4, installation began at the end of August, and the first production run took place in late September.
