On November 1, AQUA Carpatica presented the gala premiere of the film Cravata Galbenă at Sala Palatului in Bucharest, in the presence of actors John Malkovich and Sean Bean, director Serge Ioan Celebidachi, and the team. The event gathered over 4,000 spectators for a memorable evening and was also honored by the visionary director Tim Burton, the special guest of the gala.
The film tells the impressive story of a man driven by passion, courage, and above all, the thirst for perfection. The journey of Sergiu Celibidache — a man who refused any compromise — begins with a childhood spent under an authoritative father in interwar Romania and continues through the years of hunger and struggle for survival in a Germany devastated by war. A film about the courage to believe in what seems impossible and about the price paid to remain unshakeable in a world of compromises.
AQUA Carpatica and the film Cravata Galbenă represent a natural juxtaposition, based on a shared set of fundamental values that define Romanian excellence and authenticity. Cravata Galbenă brings to the big screen the story of the legendary conductor Sergiu Celibidache, the man who carried Romania’s name across the world and who promoted Romanian culture internationally. This story reflects not only artistic achievement, but also courage, creativity, and integrity — values at the core of AQUA Carpatica’s mission.
Jean Valvis, President of AQUA Carpatica, speaks about this partnership:
“AQUA Carpatica recognizes itself in this story of tradition, creativity, and innovation — a story that transforms destinies and inspires the entire world. Supporting the film Cravata Galbenă is, therefore, a statement for performance, inspiration, and universal values that define both our brand’s philosophy and Romanian cultural heritage. We strongly believe in the inspiring power of this film, just as AQUA Carpatica, through its uniquely pure springs, already a true ambassador of our values, supports and promotes Romania’s excellence. This alliance reflects an authentic communion of values, meant to bring Romanian cultural heritage to the international stage and to inspire generations to come.”
The film covers more than seven decades of the life of conductor Sergiu Celibidache and is a production financed exclusively in Romania, created by a team of over 300 professionals. Made over more than seven years of documentation, preparation, filming, and post-production, Cravata Galbenă is one of the most extensive Romanian cinematic productions — a film about genius, sacrifice, and the power of a dream. Shot entirely in Romania and supported by five national orchestras that recreated the historic concerts of the great conductor, Cravata Galbenă embodies the heritage and essence of Romanian talent.
United by the same values, AQUA Carpatica and Cravata Galbenă represent a natural partnership through which, together, they tell a story about Romanian courage and authenticity. Two symbols of excellence, two ambassadors united by the same mission: to inspire, to prove that the impossible is possible, and to place Romania where it rightfully belongs — in front of the entire world and on international markets.
