Schneider Electric România modernizes the electrical installation of De’Longhi Group’s factory in Jucu

    Published on

Schneider Electric România has strengthened its international technology partnership with De’Longhi Group through its first project implemented in Romania — aimed at modernizing and securing the industrial electrical installations at the Italian company’s factories.

The collaboration in Romania marks a major evolution in concept and safety standards, integrating network security measures from the project’s early design stages. The teams of the two companies used the performance upgrade context at the Jucu plant, Cluj County, as an opportunity to modernize the infrastructure, reduce operating costs, increase network reliability, simplify operations, and enhance protection and control levels.

The Jucu plant was the first unit opened by De’Longhi Group in Romania and specializes in the production of fully automatic coffee machines. Today, it serves as a front line for the company’s product development and manufacturing activities in this segment.

The project team included Schneider Electric România, Imsat Service Cluj, and Electra Instal Turda. The solution — highly customized and adapted to the client’s future production needs — covered a complete range of upgrades: new electrical panels, temperature monitoring systems in the panels, and over 250 meters for electricity, water, and thermal energy consumption across production lines. These 250 meters are fully integrated with Power Monitoring Expert, developed by Schneider Electric, which enables real-time consumption monitoring, anomaly detection, and utility cost optimization.

“We found in De’Longhi România a demanding but deeply committed partner focused on long-term safety and sustainability through innovative solutions,” said Lucian Enaru, Country Manager for Schneider Electric România, Moldova, and Armenia. “The project at the Jucu plant placed a strong emphasis on occupational and operational safety and will enable De’Longhi to more easily monitor and manage its costs. Through this project, we’ve prepared them to remain flexible and competitive in a global economic environment where operational efficiency depends heavily on energy performance.”
