    The Energetician’s Trophy 2025: Transelectrica specialists crowned champions of professional excellence (P)

    Transelectrica, Romania’s National Power Grid Company, has announced the winners of the most important professional competition in the energy sector – the 2025 edition of the Energetician’s Trophy. Hosted this year by the Constanța Territorial Transmission Branch between September 8–12, the event brought together 70 specialists from across all territorial branches, the National Power Dispatcher, and financial–investment departments, who demonstrated their theoretical, technical, and practical expertise across 10 specialized categories.

    Far more than a competition, the Energetician’s Trophy is an exercise in excellence – a space to recognize the very best professionals, while also showcasing that performance in the energy sector is built through knowledge, discipline, passion, and dedication.

    Celebrating Excellence

    Following theoretical and practical tests, a live public challenge, and a health and safety assessment, 31 top-performing Transelectrica specialists were awarded for their outstanding results.

    Category 1 – Operational Management DEN-DET

    • 1st Place: Cristian Marcel Stănese (Timișoara Territorial Dispatcher)
    • 2nd Place: Călin Cionca (Cluj Territorial Dispatcher)
    • 3rd Place: Daniela Finița Georgescu (Bacău Territorial Dispatcher)

    Category 2 – Operational Service CTSI

    • 1st Place: Marian Iordache (Sibiu Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Claudiu Marius Pâțu (Bacău Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Ioan Gherghina Tofan (Cluj-Napoca Branch)

    Category 3 – Operational Service for Upgraded Stations

    • 1st Place: Vasile Telcean (Cluj-Napoca Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Radu Ștefan Dobromir (Timișoara Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Nicușor Alin Ascunseanu (Craiova Branch)

    Category 4 – Operational Service for Non-Upgraded Stations

    • 1st Place: Iulian Adrian Ciochiu (Craiova Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Marius Ionuț Apostu (Constanța Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Alexandru Predica (Timișoara Branch)

    Category 5 – Primary Equipment Works Acceptance in Stations

    • 1st Place: Marian Chiriță (Craiova Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Adrian Florin Dinu (Constanța Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Andrei Chiș (Timișoara Branch)

    Category 6 – SCPA (SCADA Protections)

    • 1st Place: Costache Tăbăcaru (Constanța Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Alexandru Băican (Cluj-Napoca Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Adrian Ionuț Pichiu (Bacău Branch)

    Category 7 – LEA Works Acceptance

    • 1st Place: Sorin Gabriel Ginghină (Constanța Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Răzvan Serea (Bacău Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Ovidiu Nicoară (Timișoara Branch)

    Category 8 – OMEPA

    • 1st Place: Cristian Pavel Ilea (Sibiu Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Ionuț Octavian Țurcanu (Pitești Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Costel Trifan (Bacău Branch)

    Category 9 – Budget, Finance & Accounting

    • 1st Place: Camelia Pustan (Cluj-Napoca Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Ovidiu Nicolae Bucșa (Sibiu Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Mihai Hui (Timișoara Branch)

    Category 10 – Investments (Project Management)

    • 1st Place: Aurora Elena Moraru (Sibiu Branch)
    • 2nd Place: Liviu Muntean (Timișoara Branch)
    • 3rd Place: Daniela Vasile (Pitești Branch)

    Special Award – Health & Safety Lightning Test

    • Claudiu Marius Pâțu (Bacău Branch)

    A Map of Performance in Energy

    The overall results highlighted a balanced performance across all Transelectrica branches. Timișoara Branch won the highest number of awards (7), followed by Bacău (6) and Cluj-Napoca (5). Meanwhile, the Sibiu Branch stood out with the most first-place finishes, securing 3 category wins.

    A Tradition of Excellence

    Over the years, the Energetician’s Trophy has become a benchmark of professionalism and prestige for both Transelectrica and Romania’s National Power System. Through this competition, the company not only rewards outstanding employee achievements but also strengthens an organizational culture rooted in excellence and performance.

    This year’s edition, hosted by the Constanța Territorial Transmission Branch, once again proved that the true strength of Transelectrica lies in the skills, knowledge, and passion of its people.
