Following the decision by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) to impose judicial control measures on ELCEN’s General Manager and Commercial Director, the company’s Board of Directors convened urgently and decided to appoint Mihai Volf, ELCEN’s Legal and Procurement Director, as Interim General Manager.

The Board of Directors aims to ensure operational continuity and company stability, maintaining the production of thermal and electric energy essential for Bucharest consumers and for the National Energy System.

Mihai Volf has over 37 years of extensive experience within the company, being responsible for ELCEN’s legal management and operational compliance. His appointment as Interim General Manager is intended to ensure transparency and efficiency in the company’s executive leadership.

“Our priority is to maintain the company’s stability, ensure essential services, and provide transparency in the management of ELCEN’s activities. We are confident that Mihai Volf’s experience and professionalism will allow the company to navigate this period safely.” — ELCEN Board of Directors.
