GlobalLogic, a company owned by the Hitachi Group, has officially opened a new office in Bucharest. With over 1,100 employees in Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Brașov and Oradea, the company plans to expand its local team by recruiting 100 more software specialists across the country.

“Romania has been a point of interest for GLobaLogic for a while. It’s a great hub for engineering talents in Europe. We are ready to grow; we really believe in this market. We see great engineering talent pool in Bucharest. People here are skilled in IT, software, engineering, and AI related technology. This is also a great geographical location for us. We are very well positioned to deliver for our clients across the world. To be honest, it’s also a cost-effective location for us in the context of economic slowdown,” Yuliia Shtukaturova, Europe Region Head, said during a press conference.

Last year, Fortech, one of Romania’s largest leading digital engineering companies, announced the merger completion with GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company and digital engineering leader, officially becoming GlobalLogic Romania.

As a result of this merger, Fortech, a GlobalLogic company, operates in Romania as GlobalLogic.
