Romgaz wants to buy IT platform for gas supply to the population

    Published on

Romgaz launched a tender for the purchase of an integrated IT platform for 8.8 million RON necessary for contracting and invoicing gas and electricity for household customers, covering an “unlimited” number of consumption places. The platform is expected to be operational from the summer of this year.

“Romgaz took a first step in the process necessary to prepare the process of supplying natural gas to household and small non-household customers, by publishing on the SEAP platform the specifications for the purchase of a modular software, dedicated to managing customers/contracts for the supply of natural gas to a large number of customers. Finalizing the procedures necessary for the purchase and carrying out a software testing period, in conjunction with ensuring all the necessary material and human resources, Romgaz will be prepared to manage a large number of customers. If the software acquisition process proceeds under normal conditions, we believe that in 2025 the first competitive natural gas supply offers to household and small non-household customers will be launched on the market”, said Romgaz CEO Răzvan Popescu.

“In order to manage the activities of natural gas and electricity supply and distribution, both in a competitive and FUI regime, it is necessary to adapt the information system to be acquired, in order to ensure the specific functionalities of each type of activity. For example, adaptations of specific functionalities are necessary for the contracting processes, price calculation, mass billing, automatic notifications of managed customers and reporting to ANRE”, the procurement specifications state.
