AQUILA, market leader in the field of integrated distribution and logistics services for consumer goods in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, ended the first nine months of 2024 with revenues of nearly 2.1 billion RON, marking a 20 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The company’s results were supported by the organic growth in the distribution segment and the contribution of the three companies acquired in 2024 that operate on the Romanian market. Romtec and the two Parmafood companies had a contribution of 5.3 percent to the company’s revenues.

Cătălin Vasile, CEO AQUILA: “The actions undertake in the first nine months align with our sustainable growth strategy. The three strategic acquisitions completed in 2024 strengthen our position. This year, we celebrate 30 years of activity, a period in which we have grown alongside the Romanian market, expanded into the Republic of Moldova, and achieved results that reflect our ongoing commitment to our partners, clients, and investors. We are actively focused on maximizing our presence in high-growth, high-margin distribution channels, as HoReCa and gas stations, as well as on creating synergies with the three newly acquired companies. Operational excellence remains a priority for AQUILA, especially as the group expands, building on a strong foundation of efficiency, digitalization, and sustainability.”

In the revenue structure, in the first 9 months of 2024, the distribution and logistics segments recorded a growth of 21 percent, and respectively 7 percent, while the transport segment experienced a slight decline of 2 percent. By expanding our of own brands, namely through the acquisition of Romtec, we generated a 37 percent increase in revenues from the JetXpert, Expert Wipes, Gradena, La Masă and Yachtis brands, reaching RON 88 million in the first 9 months of 2024, a performance that reflects our continuous commitment to excellence and innovation, as well as the increased consumer confidence in our products.

EBITDA increased by 7 percent, totaling RON 124 million. The net profit for the first 9 months of 2024 amounted to RON 57 million, a decrease of 19 percent compared to the same period in 2023, primarily due to the profit tax of minimum 1 percent from revenues, which came into force this year, and the higher costs with the employees.
