Luther Immobiliare announces the takeover and continuation of the “Fosta Fabrica” project, an extensive project of conversion and consolidation of monuments and urban regeneration.

After its acquisition, Luther Imobiliare continues to develop the area, keeping the vision of transforming a former industrial space into a modern residential, commercial and cultural complex, which combines the architecture of the 1900s with the functionality of the 21st century.

The “Former Factory” project – developed on the approximately one hectare land of a former brewery in the Basarab bridge area (former Luther brewery) – aims to create a contemporary living space that reflects the balance between the past and the future.

In addition to the 156 modern apartments in the Luther Block and 31 lofts in Mălţărie, the complex includes commercial spaces, restaurants, cafes, where the businesses of some Romanian entrepreneurs will operate, as well as offices, recreation areas and cultural spaces. One of the central points of the project is the preservation of industrial heritage elements, coherently integrated in the modern design.

In essence, the project consists of an ensemble of four class B industrial historical monuments, a completely new residential building and numerous green spaces.

“We are honored to continue this project, which contributes to the gentrification of the area around Basarb Passage,” said Raluca Antonescu, representative of Luther Management. “Our vision is to transform the Former Factory into a space that harmoniously combines modern comfort and the history of Romanian industry. The objective of the project is the community that will live or work here, that appreciates the architectural style, landscaping and business model that the project proposes to the city today”.

With a new apartment building – the Luther Block, but also four monuments that will be restored – Malțarie, Orzărie, Dregătorie and Casa Luther, the “Fosta Fabrica” project is thought to be not only a living space, but an urban community, adapted contemporary lifestyle.

This is a long-term project coordinated by Luther Imobiliare, in the context of which the developer will only sell the apartments in Blocul Luther and part of the lofts in Mălţărie. Thus, 70% of the Fosta Fabrica project will remain in the ownership and management of Luther Imobiliare.

The project is intended for those who want to live in a central area of the Capital, but at the same time enjoy peace and green spaces. With a perfect mix between modern facilities and respect for the history of the place, “Fosta Fabrica” is an example of urban regeneration that brings added value to the local community.
