    Metropolitan Life reports 21 percent increase in gross written premiums for the first half of 2024

    Metropolitan Life, one of the most important players in the life insurance market in Romania, announces a 21.11 percent increase in gross written premiums in the first six months of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year.

    In the first half of 2024, Metropolitan Life recorded gross written premiums amounting to 377.9 million RON, compared to the same period in 2023, when the gross written premiums amounted to 312 million RON.

    “The 21.11 percent growth in gross written premium volume achieved in the first six months of 2024 reconfirms the commitment of the Metropolitan Life team to respond with excellence to the needs of a dynamic market and reflects the confidence of our customers in the financial protection products and services we offer. We continue to invest in the development of our personalized product portfolio, in digitalization and innovation to provide people with the security they need, strengthening Metropolitan Life’s position as a trusted partner for Romanians”, said Carmina Dragomir, CEO of Metropolitan Life.

    Additionally, in the first half of 2024, Metropolitan Life paid allowances amounting to a total value of 121.5 million RON, an increase of 36.72 percent compared to the same period in 2023, when their total amount reached 88.8 million RON.
