PRIME Batteries Technology, Eldrive Romania and ALLSPARK Energy launch solution for energy storage and EV charging

    Published on

PRIME Batteries Technology, Eldrive Romania and ALLSPARK Energy presented today a solution for storing energy and charging electric cars. The “energy cube” can power electric cars with energy from the grid or from photovoltaic panels, being ideal for areas where the grid needs improvement.

The cube can capture and store power from the grid, with low and constant consumption, to protect electrical systems in the area. When an electric car comes to charge, it can benefit of high load power – up to 150 kW – without affecting the electrical grid.

“PRIME Batteries Technology manufactures batteries for various applications, from storage for the national energy system, up to traction batteries for commercial vehicles and is the largest manufacturer of Li-Ion batteries in Southeast Europe. By collaborating with Eldrive Romania we bring, store and deliver energy where it is needed, facilitating the transition to electric mobility, but also to the notion of a dispatchable consumer”, said Vicentiu Ciobanu, Co-Founder and CEO of PRIME Batteries Technology.

“I’m glad that Eldrive Romania is part of this project because we can show how much versatile are the charging solutions that our company offers to customers. Our charging stations for electric cars are located in the parking lots of the commercial centers, office buildings, residential neighbourhoods and gas stations, and now we can also go to more isolated areas or where the national electricity grid is underdeveloped”, said Camelia Popescu, Country Manager, Eldrive Romania.

“ALLSPARK Energy has been involved in this project from the very beginning, together with PRIME Batteries Technology and Eldrive Romania, because we want electricity to be available literally everywhere – wherever a car driver needs to charge electricity”, said Dan Dumitru, CEO of ALLSPARK Energy.
