    Nuclearelectrica resynchronizes Cernavoda NPP Unit 1 to the National Energy System

    Nuclearelectrica announces that Unit 1 of Cernavodă NPP was synchronized to the National Energy System in the morning of 29 August 2024.

    Unit 1 of Cernavoda NPP was automatically disconnected from the National Energy System on August 26, 2024, due to a malfunction in the classical part of the plant (protection of a power discharge transformer), with no impact on nuclear safety.

    The automatic disconnection and the remedial works had no impact on nuclear safety, personnel and population, being performed in accordance with the specific procedures of CNE Cernavoda, a release shows.
