Romgaz says there is “no real reason” for gas prices to increase after liberalization in July

    Published on

Romgaz has not identified any real reason that with the market liberalization, on July 1, Romania will witness price increases for the gas supplied in the market, a press release shows. The energy and natural gas market will be liberalized after July 1, 2020. Thus, the price will be established by the market and not controlled by ANRE. Even the prices paid by the final consumers will be established under market conditions, and will no longer have to be approved by the energy regulatory authority.

Romgaz announces that starting July 1, it will continue to provide the necessary quantity of gas supply for both domestic consumers and industrial customers, thus maintaining its position as an important player in the natural gas market.
