The most important professional competition in the field of electricity in Romania, the Electrician’s Trophy, has named the winners of the 42nd national edition, organized by Distributie Energie Electrică Romania (DEER) and held this year in Cluj-Napoca.

Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER) was the big winner of the competition that brings together the best professional electricians from the whole country. DEER won its grand prize at the 2024 Electrician’s Trophy for Electricity Distribution and also won the Electrician’s Trophy for the Maintenance category. The Junior Electrician Cup was awarded by Distributie Oltenia.

The Electrician 2024 trophy was handed to the DEER team, led by Mihaela Rodica Suciu, General Director, even by the Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, present at the event.

It is an honor for us to be in Cluj Napoca, with you. This sector is the pride of Romania. In this sector are the best professionals and the best people. You are the people to whom we owe the fact that, in harsh conditions, the light comes on in our homes. You are specialists and do your job with professionalism, seriousness and patriotism. You take the energy sector behind you and give “blood” to the Romanian economy.”

Mihaela Rodica Suciu, DEER General Manager: “This is the first time that, after the merger of energy distributions, within the Electrica Group, the Electrician’s Trophy is won by DEER. I thank the DEER team and bow to our specialists, who won the most tests in the competition and who made us so proud.

It was an honor to be the hosts of the 42nd edition of the Electrician’s Trophy, in Cluj-Napoca. All 105 participants demonstrated, during the three days of competition, that the performance has behind it many hours of preparation, seriousness and self-control, and the ultimate test of technical knowledge and practical skills, developed through the passion for the profession of electrician, it can be passed, with remarkable results, when the work is sustained. So, congratulations to the winners!”

A number of 105 specialists from the four electricity distribution operators – DEER, Delgaz Grid, Distribuție Oltenia, Rețele Electrice and Adrem Invest were in a fierce competition in nine sections, for 3 days, in Cluj Napoca.
