Andrei Berechet, Adrem: “Companies are much more interested in advanced solutions for managing their investments in the energy sector”

    Published on

“There are more and more smart projects initiated especially by utility companies. There are interesting developments both in the electricity and natural gas segments, where intelligent distribution networks are being developed.

There are also very serious developments in the field of water and sewage networks; companies increasingly use solutions for automation, digitization of networks, consumption monitoring, loss detection. These solutions aim at efficiency from several points of view, including electro-energy efficiency because in any county, the regional water company is one of the largest consumers of electricity,” Andrei Berechet, Chief Commercial Officer, Adrem said during Smart Transformation Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

“Speaking about the electricity sector, at the moment there are many energy production projects, especially in the area of renewables (wind and sun), where there is a much more serious interest of investors regarding the use of advanced monitoring systems, prediction systems, data analytics systems that go all the way to asset performance management, i.e. predictive maintenance, cost optimization in asset exploitation.

At the level of transport operators, there are more and more projects in the digitalization and smart transformation category that are being initiated. They are very sensitive and complex systems, and the pace of implementation there is less fast.

We are looking to get involved in as many projects as possible where we can offer the right solutions and we want to contribute with the 30 years of experience we have.”
