Alexandrion Group donating 50,000 USD to support the victims of the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria

    Published on

The Alexandrion Group is providing 50,000 USD in support to the victims of the earthquakes that struck Türkiye and Syria in February. The Group has donated money, and goods such as large tents and blankets, to aid victims who are now homeless and destitute.

“I was shocked by the scale of this catastrophe, which is also affecting my native country—already so devastated by so many years of war—and by the suffering of both the Syrian and Turkish peoples, who lost their lives, members of their families, their friends, and their homes,” said Dr. Nawaf Salameh, Founding Chairman of the Alexandrion Group.

Regarding Türkiye, Dr. Salameh noted that “we are engaging with local organizations and friends who know and are indeed part of the afflicted communities.  These include the Turkish Maarif Foundation through its Romanian branch, and the Mersin Tomris Nadir Kilisesi Vakfi. We also wish to thank the Seyyit Haşim Haşimi Ehl-İ Beyt network for particular insights, as to the situation on the ground in the affected areas. We pray that God provides comfort and strength to the victims and indeed to everyone in Syria and Türkiye.”
