With over 16 years’ experience in the banking and leasing industry, Robert Maftei joins Arval Romania as Commercial Director, a company specialized in full-service operational leasing.
The new commercial director played a crucial role in developing the portfolio and major business segments for groups such as BRD Groupe Société Générale and UniCredit, his experience covering a wide range of activities in the field of corporate finance, financial leasing and operational leasing. In recent years, he coordinated the significant expansion of UniCredit’s presence in the operational leasing market. Robert Maftei is a graduate of the Executive MBA program at the Vienna University of Business and Economics and holds a PhD in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. His passions are sailing and traveling.
His appointment as Commercial Director came into force on November 4, 2019.

This change came after the promotion of Andrei Biro as General Manager of Arval Finland. “We are thrilled every time when talented people with proven track records are recognized internationally. He will remain a benchmark of professionalism and performance to all of us; in his mandate, Arval exceeding, for example, the psychological threshold of 10,000 vehicles in administration,” said Dan Boiangiu.
