    Financial Intelligence & Asociatia Energia Inteligenta organize on November 9, the 4th edition of NATURAL GAS FORUM

    Published on

    Financial Intelligence, in partnership with the Intelligent Energy Association, is organizing tomorrow, November 9, from 10:30 a.m., the fourth edition of the NATURAL GAS FORUM with the theme “Energy Crisis – Risk or Opportunity for FIT FOR 55”.

    The event will take place in a hybrid format and can also be watched online, LIVE, on the www.financialintelligence.ro platform, on the Financial Intelligence Facebook page, as well as on the Financial Intelligence YouTube channel.

    On Monday, Romania exceeded the threshold of 3 billion cubic meters of gas in storage, which means 97.75% of the total capacity. Compared to the same period last year, Romania has 701 million more cubic meters of gas in storage. The minimum threshold approved for Romania in the new regulation of the European Commission, of 80%, was reached on September 17.

    Dumitru Chisăliță, president of the Intelligent Energy Association, said: “The Natural Gas Forum gathers, every year, the best specialists in natural gas to discuss the specific problems of this sector. This year is a special year due to the biggest achievement of the natural gas sector in the last 10 years: the start of exploitation of natural gas from offshore deposits in the Black Sea. A real success for which BSOG deserves all the congratulations. At the same time, it is the year in which the natural gas system finds itself in the biggest crisis in the last 30 years. A crisis not so much of resources, not so much of prices, but of the chaos created by the multiple legislative changes on the market and which brought a lot of unpredictability to the functionality of the activity of distribution and supply of natural gas in the Romanian market”.

    • During the event, we will debate the most important topics of the moment with reference speakers:
    • The evolution of natural gas prices in Romania and Europe;
    • Natural gas supply in winter 2022-2023;
    • Support measures for consumers;
    • Natural gas price trends;
    • EU sanctions on Russia and the impact on Fit For 55 Policies
    • How does Fit for 55 influence Romania’s economy?
    • How do we use resources for Fit for 55?
    • How we use hydrogen in Romania’s interest;
    • Evolution of natural gas production in Romania;
    • Expansion of the gas distribution network;
    • Mechanisms for decoupling the price of natural gas from the price of electricity. What do we do with electricity?
