    Ford launches in Craiova the production of the new Puma, the first hybrid vehicle built in Romania

    Ford launched today in Craiova the production of the new Puma SUV, the first hybrid vehicle built in Romania.

    Ford Puma was unveiled at the end of June this year and joins Europe’s extensive range of Ford SUVs and crossovers, including Fiesta Active, Focus Active, EcoSport, Kuga, Edge and the new Explorer Plug-In Hybrid.

    “The new Puma is the next chapter in Ford’s human-centered design philosophy, which will strengthen the Ford brand in Europe in terms of quality, the multitude of technologies and the pleasure of driving,” said Stuart Rowley, President of Ford Europe, today. the factory in Craiova. “I have no doubt that Puma will be a huge success throughout Europe.”

    In order to support the production of the new Puma model, Ford started a large process of hiring about 1,700 people last year and has invested about 200 million euros in its plant in Craiova.
