Alexandrion Group acquires the full share package of Cavaway Cyprus

    Published on

Alexandrion Group, the largest producer and distributor of spirits and wines in Romania, with a distribution network covering more than 50 countries worldwide announces it has acquired 100 percent of the shares of Cavaway Ltd, a company based in Larnaca, and also operating in the same sector.

This acquisition comes after the Alexandrion Group took over the majority share package of Cavaway in 2019 and now positions the Group as one of the largest distributors of alcoholic beverages in Cyprus.

At the same time, it further strengthens the Group’s footprint in the wider region of the Southeastern Mediterranean and its leading position in the sector.

Nawaf Salameh, Founding Chairman of the Alexandrion Group, stated: “The acquisition of Cavaway marks the recognition of the company’s successful path but also the true commitment of the Alexandrion Group to further support it in continuing to grow even more dynamically.

The future of the sector, as well as the rapid geostrategic, energy and economic developments at a European and International level, require the joining of forces and operational synergies to effectively address the ever-changing market conditions.

These initiatives are also necessitated by the highly competitive environment that is evolving at a rapid pace. At the same time, and considering all this, the acquisition further solidifies our philosophy and our values, as the quality attributes of Cavaway are in line with those of the Alexandrion Group.

Further to all this, Cavaway not only continues its operations in Cyprus with the same quality and professionalism that helped establish it, but, at the same time, it gains access to a global “vehicle” of opportunities and growth prospects.”
