    Published on

Meta Estate Trust, a holding company that operates in the real estate sector, has entered the equity segment of the Bucharest Stock Exchange’s Multilateral Trading System, the AeRO market. Shares in Meta Estate Trust will be traded under the ticker symbol “MET”. The company’s listing follows its initial public offering, which ran from 20 July to 02 August and brought in 14 million RON from investors.

“Today, 29 August 2022, is a very important day for the Meta Estate Trust team and its shareholders. By listing MET shares on the AeRO market barely a year after the company was founded, we are making another step forward in its development, continuing the journey toward the proposed targets: transferring to the main BVB market and reaching a share volume of 100 million euros. We have a business model that distinguishes us from other listed issuers, and we are delighted to fulfil our mission to democratize investment in real estate. We have created the conditions for investors to become long-term partners, and we will use capital market mechanisms to increase value for shareholders. Accordingly, following the decision of the General Meeting of Shareholders in April, the company intends to launch two bond issuance processes in the fourth quarter of this year”, said Eugen Voicu, Chair of the Meta Estate Trust Board of Governors.

Meta Estate Trust held its public offering from 20 July to 02 August, which attracted investments totalling 14 million RON into the company. The company’s subscribed and paid-up share capital is 87 million RON, made up of 75.7 million in common stock and 11.2 million in preference shares (without voting rights), which together represent 87.1 percent and 12.9 percent of total share capital respectively.

“Company strategy until the end of this year is to diversify by further expanding into other real estate segments, and we anticipate over 15 million euros of new investments in shares. Another objective is to establish excellent communication with investors and maintain the very highest standards of corporate governance. At the same time, we will pay close attention to the liquidity and growth in the company’s capitalization”, added Oriol Casellas Deig, CEO of Meta Estate Trust.
