Florin Raducu, SAS: “We need to educate customers on energy consumption”

    Published on

“SAS is a company founded 40 years ago in the United States by a group of statisticians. Their first client was the agriculture department, which demanded a crop forecast. That’s how the SAS story began, as a statistical institute. In the meantime, it has become the largest private company in the world, with about 14,000 employees, half of whom have a degree in mathematics, statistics and artificial intelligence,” Florin Raducu, Senior Account Executive, SAS said during Digital Transformation Conference – Energy & Utilities organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

“About 26% of annual revenues are invested in research and development. SAS entered the utility zone in 1976, having as customers 90% of the companies in the top Forbes 500.

We have corporate analytics, customer analytics, customer segmentation products. We also cover the customer education component. When the customer has more and more consumers putting pressure on the network, I think that an education on energy consumption behavior is also needed.”
