Ministry of Energy approved the opening and operation of Rosiuta quarry

Ministry of Energy approved in a Government Meeting the “Opening and putting into operation of Rosiuta quarry”. This decision allows the Rosiuta perimeter to be transferred to the state inventory, and will be the future mining work front for Complexul Energetic Oltenia.

State officials points out this is the penultimate procedural stage by which, in Rosiuta, mining works for the exploitation of lignite deposits can begin. From now on, the Ministry of Energy, a representative of the Romanian state, will start the procedures of concession to CEO of the entire area.
