Sphera Franchise Group, the largest group in the food service industry in Romania, ended 2021 with consolidated sales of over RON 1 billion, up 41 percent compared to 2020.

“2022 is a year we look forward to as we mark a series of important events for Sphera Franchise Group: the 25th anniversary of KFC’s presence in Romania, the inauguration of KFC’s 100th local restaurant, 5 years since Sphera was listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and also 5 years since the launch of Taco Bell in Romania. The last two years were marked by the global pandemic, but despite the difficult context, our teams in all three markets have managed to achieve exceptional results. We are ready to begin a new chapter in the history of Sphera Franchise Group, delivering excellent results for all brands and in all markets of activity. Given the context, we are all the more pleased with the recognition received from the FTSE Russell and the inclusion of SFG shares in the FTSE Global Micro Cap index, which will put us on the radar of global institutional investors”, stated Calin Ionescu, CEO of Sphera Franchise Group.

The Group’s consolidated sales in Q4 amounted to RON 271.6 million, an increase of 30 percent compared to the same quarter of 2020.
