    Colosseum Mall signs lease agreement with Douglas to join the expansion project

    Colosseum Mall announces that Douglas will be part of its tenant portfolio in its expansion project which is going to be completed  and inaugurated in the first half of 2022. Douglas will open its 34th store on the Romanian market in Colosseum Mall.

    Lavinia Ivas, Country Manager Douglas Romania: “We have been monitoring Colosseum Mall retail area for a while now, due to the excellent location in the North-West Bucharest. This is close to the ring road area and it addresses not only Bucharest District 1 residents but also Chitila, Mogosoaia and Buftea neighbourhoods. We believe that this expansion of the shopping center is the perfect opportunity to open a new Douglas store in order to be closer to our customers living in this area”.

    In the past fiscal year (2020/2021), Douglas Group generated sales of 3.1 billion euros. Both physical stores e-commerce and marketplace platforms have contributed to the good business performance of the brand, despite the pandemic context.

    Mihai Dinu, General Manager Colosseum Mall –  “Perfumeries, beauty and care products stores are vital for such shopping center. The strategy we are following for our tenant mix is ​​to attract popular and loved brands which perform and meet the market conditions. We are glad to welcome Douglas and bring the favourite brands closer to Colosseum Mall’s customers”.

    Colosseum Mall is close to finish construction works and inaugurate the new retail spaces which comprise famous international and local brands.

    In addition to a diverse range of fashion and accessories brands, Colosseum Mall integrates a food court area connected with outdoor terraces and a 2000 sqm garden designed to accommodate food trucks, children’s playground, and recreational activities suitable for any season.

    Colosseum Mall ended 2021 with 100 percent occupancy rate for the current GLA and 95  percent leasing rate for the mall expansion project.

    After the inauguration of the new retail spaces, the developer will be focusing on several planned projects which include the construction of a multiple units drive-thru concept along Chitilei Road, as well as a multifamily residential project.
