Catalin Roman, Noerr: “Keep your employees close, but keep your advisers closer”

“Our job as advisors is not easy at any time, but of course we are prepared to offer our clients the best practices and the best advice on the market and according to the legal provisions. Regarding the digitalization of the employment relationship I would say that the best gain for the market is the fact that the trust between the employer and the employee is at a different level right now. Everybody is more comfortable and more relaxed to work from home or even in a hybrid system. This is the most important advantage that we had in the last year and a half,” Catalin Roman, Coordinator Employment & Pensions Practice, Senior Associate, Noerr said during People Empowering Business Forum 2021 organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

On the health and safety side there were not so many changes since last year. The major change was in May last year and from that moment the relationships regarding health and safety remained the same. We have the same obligations as employers to have an internal regulations and some procedures for letting the employees come to the headquarters. From that perspective we are well prepared to offer our clients custom made internal regulations.

We are collaborating with health and safety providers to be sure that everything is covered from that perspective. Also, there are some changed related to the trainings. Starting this year, we have the possibility of digitally made trainings. It’s now the best moment for digitalization to take over. My advice would be to keep working together, keep your employees close, but keep your advisers closer.”
