    Hidroelectrica to refurbish the Raul Mare-Retezat hydroelectric power plant following a 77 million Euro project

    Hidroelectrica, the largest electricity producer in Romania, has put up for auction the refurbishment works of the Raul-Mare Retezat power plant, according to an announcement published in the Electronic Public Procurement System.

    “RETECHNOLOGIZATION C.H.E. RAUL-MARE RETEZAT mainly involves: Manufacture, assembly and commissioning of hydraulic turbine; Manufacture, assembly and commissioning of electric generator; Modernization, installation and commissioning of hydromechanical equipment (butterfly valves and spherical valves) for hydropower plants; Modernization / refurbishment and commissioning of transformer power stations; Installation and commissioning of automation and SCADA systems for power plants. Design and testing of Francis type hydraulic turbine model. Electric generator design; Design of high voltage power substations; Design of automation and SCADA systems ”.

    According to the company’s estimate, the estimated value of the contract is 76.98 million euros, and the offers are expected until May 24. The award of the contract is made following a “competitive negotiation procedure”. The criterion is the best price-quality ratio, but the price has a weight of only 60% in the final score, the rest related to the guaranteed performance of the equipment after refurbishment.
