Vlad Gheorghe, Horváth & Partners: “Energy and utility companies need to establish coherent digital strategies”

    Published on

“In the last three months we have conducted a study with the help of 50 executives from Romania, most of them from the energy and utilities industry. 66% of executives confirmed digitalization as their priority,” Vlad Gheorghe, Senior Project Manager, Horváth & Partners Management Consultants said during Digital Transformation in Energy & Utilities, organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

“Digitization solutions help understand consumer needs. There are solutions for streamlining the cost base or asset management solutions.

The Green Deal is one of the tectonic changes now taking place in Europe. 37% of executives put European funds on their list of priorities. Unfortunately, I think we have some delay in absorbing European funds through the Green Deal. We need to accelerate the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

Energy and utility companies need to establish coherent digital strategies, understand the benefits of this transition and future-proof technologies.”
