Ciprian Marica, one of the most prominent strikers of his generation and a former Romanian international, inaugurated a temporary exhibition dedicated to his football career on Thursday, October 8, at the Football Museum in Bucharest. The event marked the launch of a new section of the museum, highlighting Marica’s career, achievements and contribution to the development of Romanian sport.
The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to explore key moments from the career of a player who represented Romania’s national team and played for major clubs in Romania and across Europe. It also tells the story of his transition from professional footballer to entrepreneur and active supporter of the next generation of athletes.
With 72 appearances and 25 goals for Romania’s national team, Ciprian Marica represented his country at the highest level, becoming one of the defining figures of modern Romanian football. Today, he is involved in developing sports infrastructure and supporting projects focused on education and athletic excellence among young people.
“I am grateful that my story is now part of this museum. However, I do not see this moment as an ending, but rather as a recognition of what I have built and, at the same time, as a responsibility to pass something on to the next generation.
Football has given me some of the most wonderful experiences of my life, and this exhibition is an opportunity to share part of that journey with fans and with young people who dream of building a career in sport. If my story can inspire even one child to believe more strongly in hard work, discipline and perseverance, then I will consider it the most important match I have ever won,” said Ciprian Marica.
