HELLENiQ Renewables installed the first turbine in the Ansthall wind farm in Galați County

    Published on

HELLENiQ Renewables, a subsidiary of HELLENiQ ENERGY, has installed the first turbine, out of the 15 planned, in the 96 MW wind farm developed in Galați County, and estimates that, depending on weather conditions, two more will be installed by mid-month.

The works are progressing at an accelerated pace after all the foundations for the 15 turbines have already been poured and the access road infrastructure is complete, as well as the 33 kV cables have been installed.

“We appreciate the efforts made by our partners in the development of the Ansthall wind farm and thank all those who contribute to the progress of this project, through which we will contribute to Romania’s energy production” said Mihai Darie, director of HELLENiQ Renewables Romania.

The project, planned to enter commercial operation in 2027, is being developed according to strict environmental management standards, including dedicated measures for wildlife protection and continuous environmental monitoring throughout construction and operation.

The Galați wind farm further strengthens HELLENiQ ENERGY’s expanding presence in Romania’s renewable energy sector. Earlier this year, the Group launched its first operational renewable assets in the country, bringing online two photovoltaic parks with a combined capacity of 58 MW in Teleorman and Olt counties. Additional photovoltaic projects with a combined capacity of 153 MW, are expected to be completed and enter commercial operation in 2026.

HELLENiQ ENERGY’s renewable energy portfolio under development in Romania now exceeds 850 MW, spanning wind, solar and energy storage projects, supporting both the resilience and the decarbonization of the regional energy system.
