Raiffeisen Bank Romania reported a net profit of RON 849 million for the first half of 2026, while total assets reached RON 91.8 billion, up 10% year-on-year and 4% compared with the end of 2025.

“The results for the first half of 2026 confirm our ability to maintain a solid growth trajectory while staying close to our customers. We continue to strengthen our role as trusted financial partners and adviser, invest in our people to better respond to customers’ evolving needs, and make banking services simpler, faster and more intuitive. At the same time, we are expanding the pragmatic use of technology, particularly artificial intelligence, to support the bank’s growth while keeping human interaction at the heart of the customer experience,” said Zdenek Romanek, President & CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Romania.

The bank’s customer base reached nearly 2.4 million at the end of June 2026. Its nationwide network comprises 264 branches, 1,150 ATMs and multifunctional machines (MFMs), and almost 45,000 POS terminals at merchants, representing significant growth compared with the previous year.

Total assets increased to RON 91.8 billion at the end of June, driven primarily by continued lending growth. Net profit for the first six months amounted to RON 849 million, while operating expenses rose by 5%.

Customer deposits climbed to RON 70.4 billion, up 7% from June 2025. Retail deposits continued their strong upward trend, increasing 11% year-on-year, supported mainly by growing demand for term deposits as the bank continued to offer attractive savings products tailored to customers’ needs.
