Beko invests over one million euros in upgrading Căteasca logistics hub

    Published on

Beko Romania has invested approximately 1.3 million euros in the modernization of its spare parts logistics hub in Căteasca, Argeș County, reinforcing Romania’s strategic role within Beko Europe’s regional operations. The investment includes the expansion of logistics infrastructure, the implementation of the E-WMS digital platform, equipment upgrades, and the optimization of operational workflows.

The Căteasca hub currently serves 22 markets across Eastern Europe while also supplying spare parts to the United States, China, Morocco, Israel, and South Africa. It also plays a strategic role within Beko’s logistics network by supplying the company’s central warehouse in Italy, which serves Western European markets.

“The customer experience does not end with the purchase of a product. That is why we continue to invest in infrastructure, technology, and people to develop fast, efficient, and predictable after-sales services. The modernization of the Căteasca hub is a strategic investment that strengthens Romania’s role in the region while supporting a responsible consumption model based on repairability and extending product lifecycles,” said Marius Mihăilescu, Country Director of Beko Romania, Moldova, Greece, Malta, and Cyprus.

The modernization project doubled the facility’s storage capacity and included the implementation of the E-WMS warehouse management system, the installation of an automated conveyor system, the acquisition of new picking equipment, and upgrades to the hub’s Wi-Fi infrastructure and security systems. The facility currently manages more than 35,000 SKUs and over 550,000 spare parts.

The investment complements Beko Romania’s after-sales service infrastructure, which includes a unified authorized service network covering all six Beko brands, 36 service locations, more than 130 certified technicians, and a dedicated spare parts hub. Together, these capabilities support faster repairs, improved service efficiency, and a stronger commitment to product longevity and sustainability.
