Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER) has announced the winners of the 2026 “Electrician’s Trophy” (“Trofeul Electricianului”), the company’s flagship professional competition dedicated to excellence in the operation, maintenance, development, and modernization of Romania’s electricity distribution networks.
Now in its 44th edition, the competition took place between May 18–22, 2026, bringing together more than 200 specialists from DEER’s 18 regional branches, alongside 27 junior electricians enrolled in the company-supported dual education system. Over three days, participants competed across eight technical disciplines and a public demonstration event, showcasing technical expertise, precision, teamwork, and professionalism.
Following the competition, DEER selected 24 of its top electricians and dispatchers to represent the company at the national stage of the contest, scheduled to take place in Iași in July 2026.
The grand prize of the 2026 DEER Electrician’s Trophy was awarded by DEER CEO Mihaela Rodica Suciu to the Mureș branch team, which emerged as the overall winner of the competition.
During the award ceremony, Mihaela Rodica Suciu praised the company’s employees and organizational culture: “The Electrician’s Trophy is not just a professional competition. It is the story of people who choose, every day, the responsibility, discipline, and courage of a profession without which the modern world could not function. Behind every intervention, every restored power line, and every night when the lights stay on in people’s homes, there are dedicated professionals ready to act regardless of the conditions. Today, we celebrate the very best among them. I am proud of the DEER team and of the strong organizational culture we have built together — one based on performance, solidarity, and respect for this profession.”
