UNIQA reported a 14 percent increase in gross written premiums in 2025 compared to the previous year. Total sales volume reached nearly EUR 162 million, driven mainly by growth in non‑motor and life insurance.

In 2025, claims paid to customers increased by 18 percent, reaching almost EUR 37 million, while statutory net profit before tax rose to EUR 19.7 million, up 25 percent compared to 2024.

Portfolio segment dynamics also indicate sustainable growth, with positive results both for financial protection solutions offered to individual customer-home insurance (+9 percent), travel insurance (+16 percent), and CASCO motor insurance (+6 percent)—as well as for company‑dedicated solutions, including SME insurance (+15 percent) and accident insurance, whose sales volume nearly doubled in 2025 compared to the previous year. Affinity insurance also recorded a 3 percent increase in gross written premiums in 2025 versus 2024.

“We continue to strengthen UNIQA’s position in the insurance market alongside our customers and partners, and we are proud of the strong results achieved in 2025. These reflect our sustainable growth strategy through portfolio diversification, offering solutions tailored to customer needs, developed to successfully address both current and future challenges related to financial protection through insurance. In 2026, our goal is to further advance the directions set out in the ‘UNIQA 3.0 – Growing Impact’ strategy, with a focus on continuous customer experience improvement. We have ambitious objectives in the South‑East Europe region, and Romania plays a key role in this regional strategy, being an important pillar of UNIQA’s development”, stated Paul Cazacu, President of the Board – CEO UNIQA Asigurări.

The life insurance segment registered 35 percent growth in 2025 compared to the previous year, reaching nearly EUR 70 million in gross written premiums, with a strong contribution from individual insurance, which advanced by over 50 percent compared to 2024.
